Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Detector Tubes | Standard Range: 50-800ppm | N10-103-20
NAGCO Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S) detector tubes are designed for measuring hydrogen sulfide concentrations using NAGCO pumps and tubes. The tubes provide three measurement ranges for flexibility across different H₂S concentrations.
Specifications:
• Standard Range: 50–800 ppmv
• Extended Range: 25–400 ppmv
• Extended Range: 100–1600 ppmv
• Number of Pump Strokes (Standard Range): 1
• Sample Volume (Standard Range): 100 mL
• Sample Time (Standard Range): 2 minutes
• Correction Factor (Standard Range): 1
• Precision (Relative Standard Deviation): ≤ ±10%
• Linearity with Number of Pump Strokes: r² = 0.989
• Humidity: 80% RH reduces the reading by approximately 10% compared to dry air
• Temperature Range: 0–40°C (32–104°F)
• Temperature Correction Factor: 1.0 at 0°C/32°F; 1.0 at 10°C/50°F; 1.0 at 25°C/77°F; 1.2 at 40°C/104°F
• Storage Life: 3 years in darkness at 5–25°C (40–77°F); refrigeration preferred
• Color Change: White → Dark Brown
• Part Number: N10-103-20
The tube uses a reaction between hydrogen sulfide and lead acetate to produce lead sulfide and a color change from white to dark brown. The standard range uses 1 pump stroke with a 100 mL sample volume and a 2-minute sampling time.
Cross-Sensitivity: The datasheet reports no apparent response from carbon monoxide, methane, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, carbon disulfide, diethyl sulfide, hexane, isobutylene, or toluene under the listed test conditions. Methyl mercaptan may produce an apparent reading of less than 50 ppm. Nitrogen dioxide may interfere in mixtures and may result in a transient brown H₂S response.
Important: Humidity can affect readings at high relative humidity. At 80% RH, the reading may be reduced by approximately 10% compared to dry air.
